Great stuff, the pizza is decently priced (we did the lunch special). Great Pizza! The sourdough crust is such a great touch, very authentic. Great stuff. The pizza is delicious, being from the SF Bay Area the names of the pizza and the ambiance reminded me of the great tourists sites. The guy working there didn't seem to happy, but other than that it was a great experience- makes me excited to go back to visit!!!!

Sad to say this was the worst $24 I have ever spent on food. I can only speak for the gluten free pizza, so perhaps their regular pizza is better. But even the toppings on the gluten free pizza were terrible. The crust was chewy in a bad way- like it was undercooked or something and was completely flavorless. We had the Embarcadero pizza and the pesto was bland and there was not very much on it which left the pizza very dry. The only other things on there were chicken and cheese, both of which tasted very artificial. And it was a personal pizza that cost $20 because it was gluten free! And then let's not start on the side salad- iceberg lettuce and some yellow tomatoes. Service was fine though and they were prompt.

We had been huge fans of the Sugarhouse location, but were very disappointed when it closed about 6 months ago. Since we are moving later this month, we wanted one last Pier 49 hurrah and went downtown for dinner last night. It was certainly not one of our better dinners out. The guy working at the counter (who told us that his family owned that location) was a total ass. My husband ordered the Ghirardelli, but pronounced it Gear-ardelli. This man corrected him that it is Jeer-ardelli. Oh, pardon us. We got our cups and headed to the soda fountain. At the Sugarhouse location, they had Apple Beer. This location did not have it, so no big deal; I went with iced tea (though it was chemically-enhanced Nestea, not freshly brewed), but my husband asked about the Apple Beer. The lovely man who took our order wordlessly pointed at individual bottles of it behind the counter and walked away. Cool manners, dude. This pizza was not like the pizza at the Sugarhouse location; it was greasy and slimy. Our favorite thing about Pier 49 was that it was never greasy- you didn't feel disgusting when you were done eating it. I don't know if it is the sourdough crust or what, but it had always been a taste treat to us. This wasn't anything special. Also, I saw some signs that there was no public restroom, but thought that meant for non-customers. Halfway through our dinner, my husband asked about the restroom and was told it was across the street at the Gallivan Center. I don't believe I have ever been to a restaurant that didn't have a restroom. I think if people are going to choose to pay money to eat at your establishment, the least you can do is provide a restroom. Meh. I've experienced better. Overall, not the worst experience, but we would not come back. We had high expectations because of the Sugarhouse location, but the pizza wasn't what we had been hoping for and the man who was working was a complete asshat.

My office ordered a bunch of pizzas today for a celebration. Unfortunately I bit into a piece and found a mangled staple in the crust. Don't think I'll be eating pizza for awhile or ever recommending this place.

Love this place!! Utahans typically recommend the pie pizzeria but in my opinion Pier 49 is SO much better! Their pizza is prepared on sourdough bread which gives a totally unique flavor. The Little Italy is an amazing pizza made with a white Alfredo sauce and tons of toppings. It has a little spice to it, so those of you that enjoy some kick will love it! If you're in the neighborhood around lunchtime they do individual slices, otherwise you'll be ordering a whole pizza. Their salads aren't the best; mostly iceberg lettuce and ranch so I'd recommend going elsewhere for your greens. The only downside to this place is the staff. They're rude and they suck.

Just a note about the downtown SLC location: No Sub Sandwiches. Would have been nice to have that up on the website.

Eh, the guys who work here are really great, but it takes them WAY TOO LONG to do a pizza. I came for lunch twice, both times getting a pretty basic pizza, and I easily waited a half hour for the pizza. Understand that sourdough pizza is naturally a thicker crust (I didn't know this and I am a thin crust lover) so if you don't like thick crust, you probably won't enjoy it. I thought the crusts flavor was pretty good, just way too thick for my liking. It's also very oily! I know plenty of people who like their pizzas running with grease, but I'm not one of them, so I didn't like that. For the right person, this place would be perfect, unfortunately I am not one of those people.

Packed at lunch! Order your goods and get to steppin' because you'll have a hard time finding seats. Service was ok. The food is pizza, with a special combo of 2 slices and a drink for ~$7. Not bad, and that's where the 3 stars come from. Other than that, the food is good but nothing too crazy... soo... nothing really much to say... ok, bye!

After years and years, of being a familiar guest, you'd think the staff would be friendly... But no! At least the pizza is good. I'll be back, but damn. Custumer service would go a long way in having a successful business.

I went yesterday and had their 49'ers special I.e. double pepperoni personal size, and a soda. I wasn't expecting too much, and received what I was expecting. The pizza was hot, fresh, and just the right size. The pepperoni however was definitely not doubled up. The cashier was "family" apparently. Not chipper, but not offensive by any means. They appeared to have good lunch specials, which is probably about the limit of their repertoire. I didn't encounter the bathroom issue others did, but I don't doubt it. Fair, but not a repeatable experience, except for lunch.

Worst service ever. My husband and I waited for over fifteen minutes before any staff emerged from the back of the restaurant to take our order. I wouldn't have been so annoyed but there is an obnoxiously loud alarm that goes off every time the door opens. A small child kept going back into the kitchen which isn't safe or sanitary. They pizza is consistently good. The location closer to our house recently closed which sucks because the service there was awesome. The wings were so tiny, like ridiculously small.
